Slidez is another photo slideshow creator, emerging in a space already dominated by Photobucket, RockYou, and the rest.
Slidez is easy enough to use. Uploading multiple photos and editing image details is easy, and adding them to an album is as simple as dragging and dropping them into whichever album you’d like. Slidez offers you a public URL where your albums can be viewed by anyone, and sharing options include email, embed code for your MySpace, hi5 and Piczo profiles, and XML files for a feed reader.
Overall, Slidez is as basic as a slideshow creator can be. They have not incorporated any offline applications to create or manage slideshows sans Internet connection, and there are no effects that can be added to your images, as with Slideroll’s service, or the slideshow itself, as is popular with Photobucket users. Slidez is also not looking to become any kind of destination site, as there is no community within their service. You would be hard pressed to find other Slidez users.

MyDataBus, an online storage and management system for your photos, videos and documents, is announcing their SnipShot API integration today.
With the SnipShot API, MyDataBus users can now edit their uploaded photos online. MyDataBus makes it easier to share information online, granting storage space for media content and providing a URL that can be linked to fro use on your MySpace, hi5, Piczo, and Facebook profiles. With their emphasis on convenience for the MySpace and Facebook crowd, it’s only logical that they provide an image editing tool that doesn’t require users to find a third party service provider.
With SnipShot’s ajax powered image editing tool, users can resize, color, rotate and crop an image online. By offering an API, any web service can easily offer image editing through SnipShot. This is made easier by the face that images can be imported using a bookmarklet for SnipShot’s service. Though MyDataBus nor SnipShot have offline desktop applications, it’s still a good move for MyDataBus to offer additional tools for their users. Hopefully we’ll see some music and video editing tools next.
